Inside A Married Man’s Head

I have not been married for long but I know one thing for sure. In every married man’s life, there are those days his brain just shuts down and it takes hours to reboot. On those days he wants to sit quietly as he listens to his inner self. Some of us go to our favorite joint and sit quietly at a corner with a bottle of beer in hand while some of us – who are not friends with the bottle – prefer to do this at home. On such days you might think we are contemplating suicide or murder but we are not. We just came face to face with our inner self – we can’t escape – and it’s demanding a one on one with us.

 

This Girl I Met

There I was. In the strong embrace of an epic calmness. For once my mind never wandered. I felt like myself after a long time. Actually I couldn’t remember the last time I felt so. This beautiful, warm sensational peace embraced my whole body, and I was so happy. So content. So relaxed.

There was this line that kept popping in my head though; ‘Nowadays, dating is like job hunting, and a gracious sense of manners is a bonus skill that will increase your curb appeal’.

And then there she was. Looking like a morning sunrise in winter, extravagant and full of promise. She looked calm and travelled.

 

Of Butts. Big Butts

I seem not to understand why a naturally lusciously bodied lady would want her bum boosted. Personally I wouldn’t want my daughter cajoled into believing that having a head turning donk makes her sultry and increases her chances of having the right guy falling for her.

A moment please. Lets tip our hats for all the men out there who are faithful to their women. In today’s world crawling with hungry fake bootylicious and booblicious demons, its not easy. Trust me. It’s like walking in a field full of land mines with a blindfold or as Illy says in Tightrope; It is like walking on a tightrope. And every step could be the one where you fall. Where did Real men go?

Maybe I am old fashioned, but to respect the woman you love should be a priority. A real man, the kind of man a woman wants to give her life to is one who will respect her dignity, who will honor her like the valuable treasure she is. A man who respects women, now that is what I call a REAL MAN.

Is it only me that feels like today’s men have lost touch with the true meaning of ‘Man’; become soft, emotional, insecure and unreliable?

Forget about sex organs or physical body changes. You might have everything intact that makes you a male species but I believe a lot goes into qualifying a male Homo Sapien as a real man. Most men think education, a big job and a sea of women by their side, the kind of drink they take, where they live or the kind of car they drive or the kind of joint they frequent automatically qualifies them to be real men. By extension, these crop of cheap and misguided men think their stature qualifies them to be mannerless, irresponsible and entitles them to treat every woman they meet as a sex object. Does it?
